#62 - The Woman in the Red Dress, Part 1

The Woman in the Red Dress Part 1
Steve Cook

“I told you not to call me again,” I hissed as soon as I was out of earshot. “I’m done helping you!”

“Yeah, well. It’s important.” The crackly voice on the other end was gruff, and belonged to the pug that we had seen behind the Tesco. “Listen. This isn’t like last time. It’s Lilith. She’s in trouble.”

A quirky short story about a talking dog and an abandoned mansion house. It's not Scooby-Doo fanfiction, I promise.

Pretty much all of the November updates for Pocket Fiction have involved the supernatural in some way or another; lots of souls being traded, demons being appeased. This one is no different. Sometimes I get the weirdest ideas, and this was one of them. It's a two-parter, so please look forward to the ending next week.

As always, I would love to collaborate with you! If you have short fiction that you would like me to include as a standalone episode of Pocket Fiction, drop me a line!
