One day you will sit where I sit now, as Empress, and you will see the wisdom in my decision.” She was shaking her head, but he carried on relentlessly. “In the last week, since you came back from Noctis Point, you’ve done everything you can to slow my execution of the Spiders. The arsenal is in position and, at a word from me, will begin the bombardment..."

With the Earth Empire on the brink of genocide, Princess Ariadne has one last desperate attempt to convince her father that there is another way. The lives of hundreds of thousands of aliens hang in the balance.
