#48 - Lily's Story

The room was overly warm. The family had kept the fires going even this late in the summer months hoping to drive the fever from the woman lying abed with the fever that had ravaged their village. Unlike many others who had become sick, Lily wasn’t recovering...

A fantasy story by guest author Andrea L Staum, taking place 8 years before the events of her novel, Blood of the Sire. Lily, abed with the fever that has ravaged her village, receives a visit from her lifelong friend, the Guardian.

Andrea is one of my fellow authors in the upcoming anthology Cogs In Time 3, due to be released on October 7th. She is the author of many stories, both long and short, which can be found through her Amazon author page and her website is Dragonchild Lore. She tweets @DragonchildLore.
