#26 - Witch?
The last few chimes echoed through the house, and Jerry stood to meet the visitors.
Fara was the first to arrive. She rent open the fabric of the world in the corner, as easy as sliding a window open, and stepped through. Now, as he had so long ago, Jerry wondered at how close to his idea of a witch she appeared.
Two people who made deals with witches gamble over the life of their firstborn. However, they only have one firstborn between them. As the witches come to claim their prize... which witch will be successful?
I'll readily admit that this is a slightly silly piece, but it's completely taking advantage of the fact that my voice is very under-the-weather. I've had a cold-virus for over a week now and it's making me produce some wonderful wheezy sounds. Also, creaky old lady voices are just plain fun. I know that no real old ladies sound like that, and I don't care!
I would love to collaborate with you! If you have short fiction that you would like me to include as a standalone episode of Pocket Fiction, drop me a line!
Each track is also available as a video on YouTube and as a podcast through the iTunes store.
