Amygdala Short Story Competition
I submitted a piece of writing to the Amygdala Short Story Collection's first short story competition, and I'm incredibly excited to say that they selected my piece 'Belina' for first place! This is incredibly awesome, and I'd like to thank Amygdala for choosing my piece!
You should also check out Brandon K Nobles, whose work The Obituary Writer was selected for second place, and Isaac Coleman, whose work Tonight's Supernova was selected for third. Congratulations to both of you!
The brief was to create a piece of fiction that wove in ideas about humans and technology supporting each other. Coincidentally, that's a large part of what I've been working on recently with Sue for the User-Centred Design Conference, which I'll blog about in more detail later. Please look forward to both that, and more details about when you can get hold of the first issue of Amygdala.
